There are two migration counting stations next to the town of Wenduine: the Spioenkop close to the sea and an observation platform inside the dunes. From the Spioenkop you have a good view of the sea. It is therefore the perfect place to follow the autumn migration over the sea. You can see species such as Fulmar Boreal, Alcatraz Atlántico, Gaviota Tridáctila, shearwaters, sea ducks, skuas, terns, razorbills, divers and with a bit of luck Gaviota de Sabine or even Paíño Europeo.
The observation platform is located in the middle of the dunes and is therefore a good place to follow the spring and autumn migration. You can see birds such as Charrán Patinegro,Charrán Común and even the Garza Imperial. With some luck the Aguilucho Cenizo. In the dunes you can also see Ruiseñor Común, Curruca Zarcera, Cernícalo vulgar and Mosquitero Musical. In winter, with a bit of luck, you can see the Escribano Nival here.

Nederlands: Aan de Noordzeekust bij Wenduine zijn er twee trektelposten: de Spioenkop vlak aan zee en een observatieplatform in de duinen. Vanaf de Spioenkop heb je goed zicht op zee. Het is daarom de perfecte plek om de najaarstrek over zee te volgen. Je ziet er soorten als Fulmar Boreal, Alcatraz Atlántico, Gaviota Tridáctila, pijlstormvogels, zee-eenden, jagers, sterns, alken, duikers en met een beetje geluk Gaviota de Sabine of zelfs Paíño Europeo.
Het observatieplatform ligt midden in de duinen en is daardoor een goede plek om de voor- en najaarstrek te volgen. Je kunt vogels zien als Charrán Patinegro, Charrán Común en zelfs Garza Imperial. Met wat geluk ook de Aguilucho Cenizo. In de duinen kun je verderRuiseñor Común, Curruca Zarcera, Cernícalo vulgar en Mosquitero Musical zien. In de winter kun je hier met een beetje geluk Escribano Nival aantreffen.

Trektelposten Wenduine are located in the town of Wenduine. You can park your car in Wenduine or at the observation platform. The area is accessible via the N34 or the N317. Press P in the map for directions to a parking.
