Descripción
Ploegsteert is an old clay extraction area which has been converted to a mosaic of different marshy habitats and therefore a great location for many species of birds. Especially the extensive reedbeds in the area are great for species like Rascón Europeo, herons, ducks and typical reed species, such as Escribano Palustre and Bigotudo. The area is a must see for Avetoro Común and Zampullín Cuellinegro.

La proximité des roselières est un des atouts de ce site, propices aux rallidés, ardéidés, anatidés et passereaux paludicoles. Le site est un must pour l'observation du Zampullín Cuellinegro et du Avetoro Común .... entre autres.

De Ploegsteert is located 15 km south of the town of Ypres, near the Belgian-French border. Access to the site is possible via the nature reserve car park. Press P on the map for directions to the car park. From the car park the site is accessible on foot.
