Groot Buitenschoor and Galgenschoor is a nature reserve that is subject to tidal action and is a brackish salt marsh area that is submerged every 12.5 hours. Birds you can see in the area include Avoceta Común, Ostrero Euroasiático, Chorlito Dorado Europeo, Avefría Europea, Chorlitejo patinegro, Alondra Común, Pardillo Norteño, Porrón Osculado and Cisne Chico.

Nederlands: Groot Buitenschoor en Galgenschoor is een natuurreservaat in Antwerpen dat buitendijks gelegen is in het estuarium van de Schelde. Het reservaat is onderhevig aan getijdenwerking en is een brak schorrengebied dat om de 12,5 uur onder water komt te liggen. Vogels die je in het gebied kunt zien zijn onder meer Avoceta Común, Ostrero Euroasiático, Chorlito Dorado Europeo, Avefría Europea, Chorlitejo patinegro, Alondra Común, Pardillo Norteño, Porrón Osculado en Cisne Chico.

From the dike you have a good view of the salt marsh - the vegetated part - and the mud flat - the bare part. You can watchs birds here all year round. Het Groot Buitenschoor also has a birdwatching hide. Click on the P in the map for directions.
