The Kuifeend is a large pond with reed beds and surrounding wet forest with Garza Real colonies and Cormorán Grande colony. In the immediate vicinity there are meadows and reed belts. The area is managed by Natuurpunt. Birds you can see here are Ánade friso, Tarro Blanco, Rascón Europeo, Avetoro Común, Martín Pescador Común, Espátula Común, Ruiseñor Pechiazul, Escribano Palustre, Carricero Común, Carricerín Común and Cetia Ruiseñor.

Nederlands: De Kuifeend is een waterplas midden in de Antwerpse haven. Er zijn zeer natte weilanden en depressies. Zeer grote aantallen eenden, vooral duizenden krakeenden. Rietland met een grote vijver. Broekbos met reigerkolonie en aalscholverkolonie. In de onmiddellijke omgeving nog weilanden en rietgordels. Het gebied wordt beheerd door Natuurpunt. Parking at Oorderen station. Near the major industrial road. Click on the P in the map for directions. Because of the great birdlife, the nature reserve is only accessible to a limited extent.
