Most of the time people visit this nature reserve during the summer. But also during the winter and migration period you can see intersting bird species. The area is famous for the Chotacabras Europeo which you can see during the summer but in the winter you can see the Alcaudón Norteño. Other birds you can encounter in the area are Porrón Osculado, Águila Pescadora, Alcotán Europeo, Esmerejón, Cigüeña Negra, Trepador Azul, Cuervo Grande, Grulla Común, Picamaderos Negro and Cárabo Común. Rare visitors are Pigargo Europeo, Bisbita Campestre, Garza Imperial and Cigüeñuela común.
