Descripción
The controlled tides of the Scheldt river give this birding spot some interesting characteristics. As the Bergenmeersen is quite far inland the brackish water and the tidal movement shape this area in a unique salt marsh and mudflats. During migration periods these mudflats attract wader birds like Aguja Colinegra , Avoceta Común , Andarríos Chico , Archibebe Claro , Archibebe Oscuro , Andarríos Bastardo , Correlimos Común. On the wooden path that runs trough the area it's possible to see Pájaro-moscón Europeo and Bigotudo in the reed beds (mostly during winter). Warblers like Buscarla Pintoja , Ruiseñor Pechiazul , Carricerín Común and Carricero Común are easily to be heard from this wooden path during spring and early summer.
