Descripción
Schönauer Teich (Lake Schönau) is located near Schönau an der Triesting. The scenic pond has also one of the most species-rich breeding grounds for waterfowl in Lower Austria and serves as a resting station for migrating birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Agachadiza común, Garza Real, Águila Pescadora, Serreta Grande, Garceta Grande, Pato Colorado, Gallineta Común, Focha Común, Somormujo Lavanco, Escribano Palustre, Carricero Común, Cormorán Grande and Avefría Europea.

There are several side streets where you can park. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point. The widely-known cycle route "Wr.-Neustädter-Kanal" which connects Wr. Neustadt and Vienna is directly connected to this location in the south.
