Descripción
The Pitztal valley is criss-crossed by a small river where you can make wonderful observations of Mirlo-acuático Europeo, Lavandera Cascadeña, Avión Roquero and Andarríos Chico. All year round you can see species around the valley like Quebrantahuesos flying over the valley and Cascanueces Común, Pito Cano, Águila Real and Picamaderos Negro. On top the Pitztaler Glacier you can find species like Acentor Alpino, Gorrión Alpino, Chova Piquigualda and Lagópodo Alpino.

The Pitztal is located 70 km southwest of Innsbruck. You can explore the vally by car and the slopes of the forest on foot. In the towns you can park and then watch birds. From the town of Mittelberg you can take the train which goes through the mountain on top of the Pitztal Glacier. From there you can explore the area on foot. Or you can take the lift up to a restaurant.
