Descripción
Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.
Birds you can see here are Zorzal Real, Mosquitero Musical, Serreta Grande, Martín Pescador Común, Andarríos Grande, Zarcero Icterino Curruca Capirotada, Pico Menor and both Agateador Euroasiático and Agateador Europeo and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of Jilguero Europeo, Jilguero Lúgano, and in late winter Pinzón Real.
On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find Tarabilla Norteña here and with some luck Milano Negro. On the pond you can see Zampullín Común and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for Rascón Europeo, Escribano Palustre, Carricero Común, Carricero Tordal and Carricerín Común.
