Historic Streeters Jetty on Dampier Creek is the most accessible mangrove birding location in Broome and is a go-to spot for Red-headed Honeyeater. Other sought after birds occuring here include Mangrove Gerygone, Mangrove Golden Whistler, Broad-billed Flycatcher and White-breasted Whistler.

Birding can be done from the jetty itself but is far more effective from the beach below (avoid high tides). Access here is via a set of steps to the left of the jetty and walking underneath it to the other side.
Look for a white aircon condensate outlet at the rear of an adjacent warehouse. If water is present in the pipe Red-headed Honeyeater often come in to drink.
