Descripción
Bundaberg Botanical Gardens span 27 hectares of land and feature a magnificent lake which is home to 114 species of birds. Take a walk on the paths to discover the hidden Japanese Gardens and the spectacular temple in the Chinese Gardens. The park is home to a large Australian White Ibis and Cattle Egret population. Other birds you can observe include Australasian Swamphen, Plumed Whistling-Duck, Australian Wood Duck, Plumed Egret, Great Egret, Australian Brushturkey, Channel-billed Cuckoo, Tawny Frogmouth, Pied Stilt, Straw-necked Ibis, Royal Spoonbill, Australasian Darter, Black-fronted Dotterel and Olive-backed Oriole.

Bundaberg Botanical Gardens are situated in North Bundaberg on 6 Mount Perry Road. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking. Bus service route 6A stops at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens 7 days a week. Opening hours are 5.30 am to 6.45 pm September to April and 6.30 am to 6 pm May to August. Entry to the gardens is free.
