Descripción
Buffalo Creek is a well birded hotspot for a number of highly sought after birds including Chestnut Rail, Little Kingfisher and Great-billed Heron. The adjacent beach flats also host a great range of shorebirds including Eastern Curlew, Red Knot, Beach Stone-Curlew and Grey-tailed Tattler.
Birding the beach can be done via telescope from the hide or just by walking the flats. However, unless birders have access to a small boat or canoe, creek observations will be limited to the mudflats opposite the boat ramp.
The creek is tidal and mangroves may be inundated. Check times - see link.
