Three areas of water meadow by the River Stour: in Sudbury, Long Melford Country Park, and Glemsford's Foxearth Reserve.
The Upper Stour Valley is an area of lush wildflower meadows grazed by cattle, reedbeds, small lakes, river and woodland. Dragonflies are hunted by Δεντρογέρακο. Occasional otter seen. The reserves have birdboxes, feeders and cafes. Look for Γελαδάρης, (Κοινός) Λευκοτσικνιάς, Καλαμοποταμίδα, Σχοινοποταμίδα, (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος, Lesser Whitethroat, (Κοινό) Μπεκατσίνι, Καπακλής, Σταχτοσουσουράδα and Δεντροφυλλοσκόπος.
Sudbury and Long Melford are on the A134 Colchester to Bury road. For the Glemsford reserve take Cavendish road from Melford. Click on a P in the map to get directions.
