Scotttish Loch with quiet road running along the edge, set in the the Cairngorms National Park.
This is a favourite place with birders in Scotland. In Spring and early Summer there are Λαμπροβούτι on the loch and Ψαραετός fish here. In the surrounding area there are both Red Grouse and Μαυρολαίμης, assorted raptors, and Θυελλόγλαρος breed here in summer. You may also see (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα. There are some Mountain Hare present in Winter.
Access by Car or Bike. Easy to find from Carrbridge / Grantown on Spey / Inverness. For parking there are several pull-ins off the road. Do not block passing places or entrances.
Park the car, and there are tracks that can can be followed on foot, but no circular route.
Great & reasonable accomodation for birders in Grantown on Spey - see link
