Description

Haugh Woods is an upland wooded area to 600 feet. Among the birds you can observe in the area are (Ευρασιατική) Μπεκάτσα, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος, Μαυροσκούφης, Θαμνοτσιροβάκος, Δεντροκελάδα, Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης, Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης, Νανοδρυοκολάπτης, Χρυσοβασιλίσκος, (Κοινός) Σταυρομύτης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κοκκοθραύστης, Καμπίσια Πέρδικα, Βουνοδεντροβάτης, Δεντροτσοπανάκος, Lesser Redpoll and Χειμωνόσπινος.

Access

Car park is midway between Mordiford and Woolhope. From Hereford, go east on B4224 and take 2nd left turn in Mordiford. Click on the P in the map for directions. Train station at Hereford, 7 miles. Bus 453 from Hereford to Mordiford 4 times a day. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km.
