Description

The Fishtown of Usan is a small, historic fishing village. It features a 19th-century signal tower, which is a four-storey structure built with medieval references and topped by machicolations and crenellations. The village once had a thriving fishing industry, with rows of cottages, a school, and a coastguard station. Today, only a few cottages and the coastguard station remain.

The village offers great seawatching in the right conditions (south-easterly winds). Bushes and trees are also attractive to migrant passerines.
