Large reservoir, with 2 mile walk through fields, woodland and around the reservoir. Good hide and cafe with close railway station.
Good spot for migrating waders, ducks, geese and warblers etc. Fantastic for the usual gulls, waterfowl, finches, owls and other raptors.
Being on the south coast it's often one of the first stop-offs for migrants and has been the site of the occasional treat like Χιονοκότσυφας, Ασημόγλαρος της Μεσογείου, Μαυροκέφαλος Γλάρος and Πετρίτης.
A car park is present at the entrance, there's a train station in Bewick village and it can be walked to from Abbott's Wood if you're the walking type.
