Description

I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of (Ευρωπαϊκό) Βροχοπούλι and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Νανογλάρονο. Large numbers of Little Auk, Νανόγλαρος, Αετοληστόγλαρος, Γερακοληστόγλαρος, Βελονοληστόγλαρος, Μύχος, Sooty Shearwater, Τριδάκτυλος Γλάρος and Northern Fulmar can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.

Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Κιτρινόφρυδος Φυλλοσκόπος, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα, Νανομυγοχάφτης and Γερακοτσιροβάκος may turn up in autumn.

Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
