Description

Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows. The brackish, grazing marshes attract many birds. Wading birds like Κοκκινοσκέλης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος, Θαλασσολιμόζα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Σιγλίγουρος, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα and Μαχητής. But also many other birds like geese, ducks and gulls. Also Βαλτόμπουφος and Καλαμόκιρκος, Αμμοσφυριχτής, Αργυροτσικνιάς and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κούκος can be seen. Others seen from time to time are Αετομάχος and Χιονοκότσυφας on passage. (Ευρασιατική) Χαλκόκοτα is a current visitor.
