Description
Ödsmåls Kile is a nature reserve that consists of a shallow bay and is an important bird area. The floodplains turn inland into vast coastal meadows with salt-affected grass vegetation. At low tide, large areas become exposed in the inner part of the bay. These then attract many wading birds. Also ducks and swans feed here. Especially during bird migration in spring and autumn large numbers of waders and ducks visit the area, including Αργυροπούλι, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Θαλασσολιμόζα and Λασποσκαλίδρα. Also Ψαραετός, Καλαμόκιρκος and Πετρίτης can be observed.

Access
Ödsmåls kile is located southwest of Solberga and is reached from one of the small roads that run along the reserve's borders. During the migration and breeding periods, access to the reserve is prohibited. However, the birds can be observed from a small platform located in the southern part of the reserve next to the road. Adjacent to the platform is a parking space. Click on the P in the map for directions.
