Missmyra is a small wetland in an otherwise forest-dominated part of the region. The large reedbeds hosts birds like Καλαμοποταμίδα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα and Καλαμόκιρκος. Missmyra is also appreciated by waterfowl like (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα, Χειμωνοβουτηχτάρι, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι. This attracts birds of prey such as (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσαετός and (Κοινό) Ξεφτέρι.
