Description
The Långfjället Nature Reserve is one of Sweden’s largest. The highest peak is Storvätteshogna, at 1204 m. It has areas of pure primeval forest without traces of forestry. On the moutain plateau it is lovely walking with plenty of birds on top and in dales. Lots of Rock Ptarmigan, Λιβαδοκελάδα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Βροχοπούλι and Σταχτοπετρόκλης. You also find Siberian Jay (in the coniferous forest) and Πρασινοσκέλης (around small bog areas in the forest). And along the streams and rivers the (Ευρωπαϊκός) Νεροκότσυφας is a common sight. In the lakes and streams you can find ducks like (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα and Λαμπροβούτι.You can also encounter moose, foxes, martens and brown bears.
