A lovely bog that is best visited in the early mornings of spring.
Horsnäsamossen is a large bog at Ottersnäs, east of Ljungby. Horsnäsamossen is most easily reached through Vislandavägen, which also crosses the bog. Early mornings you may be lucky enough to see moose on the bog. Horsnäsamossen is best known for the Λυροπετεινός that are lekking in early spring. Species such as (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός, Αγριόκουρκος, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Βροχοπούλι, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Κοκκινοσκέλης and Χρυσαετός can also be seen.
Follow Vislandavägen, turn off towards Ottersnäs and after about 1 km there is a small parking lot on the left side. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. Follow the short path from the parking lot to the bird tower.
