Surrounded by ancient farmland and marshes this nutrient rich lake offers birds as Γκισάρι, Καλαμόκιρκος, Τσιχλαηδόνι, (Ευρασιατικός) Ήταυρος. In the surrounding forests one often can find Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης. In spring Διπλομπεκάτσινο and Κουφομπεκάτσινο can be heard.

The area is best accessed from Ågesta gård and can be reached by bus, car and bike were there is also plenty of parking places. The stables have a small café.
