Description
Lagoa de Cospeito is fed by the Guisande River, from the Támoga river basin, in turn a tributary of the Miño. Large areas of wetlands that serve as wintering grounds for various species of migratory birds in the winter months and, for some as a place of passage and breeding. In the months of October - November and until February - March, you can see the greatest amount of fauna with species that come from northern Europe such as (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα. Cospeito is one of the few places in Galicia where this species can be seen. You can also see (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, which needs shallow water to feed. Also (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, Καλαμόκιρκος, Δεντρογέρακο, (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Συκοφάγος, Λευκός Πελαργός, Τσίφτης and many other birds. It is also possible to see Χαμωτίδα, a steppe bird that finds an ideal habitat to feed around the lake.

Espagnol: Se encuentra a 25 km de Lugo y posiblemente sea el humedal mejor adaptado para los visitantes. Está alimentada por el Río Guisande, de la cuenca fluvial del Támoga, a su vez afluente del Miño. Riegan grandes superficies de humedales que sirven como zona de invernada para diversas especies de aves migratorias en los meses de invierno y, para algunas como lugar de paso y cría. En los meses de octubre – noviembre y hasta febrero – marzo, se puede observar la mayor cantidad de fauna con especies que llegan del norte de Europa como la (Ευρωπαϊκή) Καλημάνα (Cospeito es uno de los pocos lugares de Galicia donde creía esta especie). También se puede observar el (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια , que necesita aguas poco profundas para alimentarse, el ánade silbón, el ánade real, a cerceta, la gallina de agua, a garza, los zarapitos. También es posible ver sisóns, aves esteparias que encuentran aquí un hábitat idóneo para alimentarse.

From the interpretation center you go up to the artificial mound from which you have a good perspective of the whole area. After descending, you follow the path that surrounds the lagoon where you will find different observatories that you can use depending on the position of the sun. Circular route, 3.5 km (2h on foot and 1h by bicycle). Best season: winter and spring.

Espagnol: Desde el centro de interpretación subimos al montículo artificial desde el que se tiene una buena perspectiva del conjunto. Tras descender, seguiremos el sendero que rodea la laguna donde encontraremos diferentes observatorios que podremos usar en función de la posición del sol. Ruta circular, 3,5 km (2h a pie y 1h a bicicleta). Mejor época: invierno y primavera.
