Isla de Los Monos is located in the heart of Badajoz. It is an island with many lakes and marshes in the Guadiana river. It is full of life. It is full of birds. You can see more than 6 heron species ((Ευρωπαϊκός) Μικροτσικνιάς, (Κοινός) Νυχτοκόρακας, Πορφυροτσικνιάς, (Ξανθός) Κρυπτοτσικνιάς, (Κοινός) Λευκοτσικνιάς, Σταχτοτσικνιάς and Γελαδάρης) and other nice birds like (Ευρασιατική) Χαλκόκοτα, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρομύτα, Καλαμοκανάς, Σουλτανοπουλάδα and Υφάντρα.
