Description
Embalse Monteagudo de las Vicarias collects its waters from the Nagima River. Its area is 100 hectares. The Μαυροβουτηχτάρι and the (Ευρασιατικό) Φερεντίνι are breeding residents, and several migratory species make a stopover in the marsh. Migratory species such as the Πορφυροτσικνιάς, Μαύρος Πελαργός, Ψαραετός, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρομύτα and various species of ducks and waders. The surrounding area is also interesting for steppe birds like Μαυροπεριστερόκοτα.

In the southwest of Soria, bordering the province of Zaragoza. Go to the town of Monteagudo de las Vicarias and follow the signs to the lake. You can walk around the reservoir. It's about a 7 km walk.
