Reservoir next to the town of La Risca (Moratalla). The dam on the Moratalla River was built to prevent floodings.
The reservoir of Embalse de La Risca and the vegetation that surrounds it offers a habitat for different species of birds. Among the birds you can encounter are (Κοινό) Αηδόνι, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψευταηδόνι, Καλαμοποταμίδα, Τσιχλοποταμίδα, Μαυρολαίμης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος, (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι, (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Συκοφάγος and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Μελισσοφάγος.

Road from Barranda to Sabinar, turn off at Campo de S. Juan (Moratalla) towards La Risca, park next to the La Risca reservoir dam.
