Description
Desembocadura Riera de Riudoms (Maspujols) or the mouth of the Riudoms stream forms a small sheet of water when it reaches the sea surrounded by some reeds. Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια and Αρκοπετείναρο breed here. However, it is during migration when other species such as Υφάντρα, Καλαμοποταμίδα, or (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα can be seen. It is in winter when the place is most interesting to visit, especially to look for some Θυελλόγλαρος among the Μαυροκέφαλος Γλάρος and Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος or a Bonaparte's Gull that has been wintering here for several years. Also, if you look out to sea, you can find Θαλασσοπρίστης, Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι or the commoner (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος or (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσοκόρακας.
If you visit the place from November to march after 4 pm you can wait until dusk when thousands of Μαυροκέφαλος Γλάρος come to rest at sea after washing their plumage in fresh water. But you never know which place they will choose. It can be north of this point, also in Salou, or just south the Cambrils fishing port.

Access
You can go walking or by bike easily from Salou or Cambrils. There is also a bus stop near by. You can also park easily if you don't go in the summer. But in summer the place has little interest anyway.
