Mpumalanga  >  South Africa

There is always something to see at this little dam in Kruger National Park. If the birds don't keep you entertained then the huge crocodiles will.

Description

Sunset Dam is just outside the gate of the popular Lower Sabie rest camp in the southern Kruger National Park. Most itineraries to this part of Kruger include a visit to Lower Sabie rest camp, so this littel gem is likely already on your route. It is an active little dam with lots of huge crocodiles, hippos and a steady stream of animals. There are also a good selection of waterbirds and passing savanna species to see.

Important note: You cannot get out of your car here! So all birding is done from your vehicle.
