Description
Park Borovi in the eastern Sjenica suburbs is a nice place to visit if you are staying in Sjenica or passing nearby. The park is a big patch of mixed spruce and fir forest near the artificial lake on the local river Jablanica.
Species to look for include Σκαρθάκι, (Κοινός) Πύρρουλας, Κεδρότσιχλα, Γερακότσιχλα, and Ελατοπαπαδίτσα. At the southern edge of the forest is a Λευκός Πελαργός nest, while on the lake look for Χηνοπρίστης among the Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπιαs. Σταχτοτσικνιάς and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος are flying over the lake and surrounding terrain.

Access
Park Borovi is located on the eastern outskirts of Sjenica. The main entrance to the park is near the Hotel Borovi, in front of which is a parking place. Press P on the map for directions. The circular route shown on the map is about 3 km.

Sjenica and Hotel Borovi are nice places to base your trip around the Pešter Plateau. From here, Uvac Gorge Nature Reserve, Karajukića Bunari marshes, Vapa River valley, as well as Jadovnik, Giljeva, Golija, and Zlatar mountains are all less than a 30-minute drive.
