Description
Around Katunić you can see many species of birds. The road that gets you there is already very bird rich. Along the mountain path you can see Καρυοθραύστης, Μαύρος Δρυοκολάπτης, Σταχτής Δρυοκολάπτης, Δεντροτσοπανάκος, Δασόκοτα and many other birds. At the plateau you can see Μαυρολαίμης, Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, Δεντρογέρακο, Ορτυκομάνα and some others. At the mountain top there are some rocky areas where you can see Σταχτοπετρόκλης, Πετροπέρδικα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκινέζι, Όρνιο, Πυροκότσυφας, Κοκκινοκελάδα and Φιδαετός.

Access
You can park at the mountain lodge and then hike from there. Also there are some ways of getting to the plateau by car but for thaty a 4x4 terrain car is needed. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the mountain lodge.
