Jarkovac Lake is an artificial lake on the Fruška Gora's southeastern slopes.
Jarkovac Lake, also known as Ljukovsko Lake, is a medium sized artificial lake made by building a dam on the Fruška Gora stream Ljukov in 1976. It is 2 km long and 300m wide, with a maximum depth of 10m. Jarkovac Lake is a good year-round birding spot. The most productive is the north part of the lake, downhill from the Earl Pejačević villa. (Βουβός) Κύκνος, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, Αργυροτσικνιάς, Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι, (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα, Αρκοπετείναρο, Καλαμοκανάς, and Πρασινοσκέλης are quite common here. Λαμπροβούτι has also been recorded in winter.
Jarkovac Lake is just 6 km west of Inđija town. Places to park are near the old Earl Pejačević villa on the north and near the dam on the south of the lake. Click on the P for directions. If parking near the Earl Pejačević villa, note the narrow path through the bushes that leads downhill to the lake.
