Description
Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as Ραβδοσκαλίδρα, Καλαμοκανάς, Σταχτιά Νανοσκαλίδρα, (Κοινή) Νανοσκαλίδρα, Θαλασσοσφυριχτής and Ερυθρόλαιμος Φαλαρόποδας. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as Πορφυροτσικνιάς, (Ευρασιατική) Χαλκόκοτα, Μουστακογλάρονο, (Κοινός) Νυχτοκόρακας, Καλαμόκιρκος, Μικροπουλάδα and Λευκόφρυδη Ποταμίδα are breeding in this area.
