Ribeira de Alcantarilha is a riverside area where a bridge crosses the river, allowing birdwatching from above. Birds such as Καλαμοκανάς, Ακτίτης, Λασποσκαλίδρα, Αμμοσφυριχτής, Σταχτοτσικνιάς, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Μικροτσικνιάς, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια can be observed. There's also a walkway closer to the water level that allows for better observation.

Access
Ribeira de Alcantarilha is located directly east of the village of Armação de Pêra. Follow the N269 towards Armação de Pêra. At the roundabout after the campsite, take the second exit onto Rua Dr. Manuel Arriaga. Continue until you reach the Avenida do Rio, then take the Praia de Armação de Pêra/Lote dos Pescadores exit until the end of the street. There's paid parking nearby. There are also free parking options a little further away. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.

Português: Seguir pela N269 em direção a Armação de Pêra. Na rotunda após o Parque de Campismo, sair na segunda saída para a Rua Dr. Manuel Arriaga. Continuar até à Avenida do Rio, saída Praia de Armação de Pera/ Lote dos Pescadores até ao final da rua. Há um estacionamento muito perto que é pago. Também há lugares um pouco mais longe do local para observação que não são pagos.
