Faja Grande is the westernmost point of Europe and one of the best spots for North American wanderers, especially waders.
Many wanderers can be found all over the Azores, especially in autumn, but Faja Grande is the best place. Among other things Κηλιδωτός Ακτίτης, White-billed Diver, Αζτεκόγλαρος and many songbirds have been found here. Petrels and seabirds from Europe and the southern hemisphere are also found here.
Faja Grande can only be reached by car. The car can be parked in various places. Hiking holidays can also be taken from Faja Grande.
