Żwirownia Brzegi has a large colony of Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος on the island, and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Νανογλάρονο and Ποταμογλάρονο also nest there. The terrain is varied: shrubs, grasses, deciduous trees, ponds. Among the other birds you can encounter are Φοινικόσιηνα, Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, Χηνοπρίστης, Τσιχλοποταμίδα, Μαυροβουτηχτάρι and (Κοινός) Πύρρουλας.

You can get there by car, convenient parking on site or by bike. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The nearest bus stop is about 1 km away. After rain, the local roads get very muddy. The circular route around the lake is about 2 km long.
