Description
Zawadowskie Islands Reserve is a conservation reserve that consists of islands and shoals located on the Vistula River in Warsaw. This reserve is breeding place for terns ((Ευρωπαϊκό) Νανογλάρονο, Ποταμογλάρονο), plovers and gulls, with some luck you can also observe mammals such as beavers or wild boars. During spring or autumn migration it is a good place for wading birds (i.e. Λασποσκαλίδρα , Μαχητής , Σταχτιά Νανοσκαλίδρα , (Κοινή) Νανοσκαλίδρα , (Κοινό) Μπεκατσίνι , (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος ), ducks or birds of prey (one of the best places to see Ψαραετός in Warsaw) . The adjacent riparian forest is a good place for woodpeckers, tits and trushes.
