Description
You can find a Καλαμοτριλιστής here resounding in the extensive reed beds. As well as listen to the singing of a Βλαχοτσίχλονο and a (Κοινό) Αηδόνι on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky, you may even notice an Νανόμπουφος flying silently over the local fields. The forest itself also hides many interesting species such as Βουνοδεντροβάτης, Δασοφυλλοσκόπος and Πυροβασιλίσκος.
If you are here in autumn, you can expect waders, which include Λασπότρυγγας, Πρασινοσκέλης and Ακτίτης. The river itself also has a lot to offer, Χηνοπρίστης and numerous (Βουβός) Κύκνος breed here. In the morning, the loud cry of the (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός resounds here, as it brings out its nests here. I hope I have described it well and encouraged you to visit this wonderful place.
