Description

A complex of large fish ponds (approx. 760 hectares) with a large variety of bird species and their numbers, both during nesting and during migration. Two large complexes - Przygodzice-Trzcieliny and Dębnica-Kocięba, as well as single forest ponds. The largest reservoir: Pond Trzcielin Wielki (accessible from the western shore) holds a number of migratory and wintering species when there is no ice cover. Among the birds you can see are Ασπρομέτωπη Χήνα, Αγριόκυκνος, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, Καπακλής, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, Ψαλίδα (του Βορά), (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι, Γκισάρι, Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα, Χηνοπρίστης, Κοκκινοβουτηχτάρι, Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι, Μαυροβουτηχτάρι, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Νεροκοτσέλα, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, Μαχητής, (Κοινό) Μπεκατσίνι, Λασπότρυγγας, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Νανόγλαρος, Θυελλόγλαρος, Ασημόγλαρος του Βορά, Ασημόγλαρος της Κασπίας, Μελανόγλαρος, Μαυρογλάρονο, Ποταμογλάρονο, Κηλιδοβούτι, Λαμπροβούτι, Λευκός Πελαργός, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κορμοράνος, (Ευρασιατικός) Ήταυρος, Αργυροτσικνιάς, Καλαμόκιρκος, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Θαλασσαετός, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη, Αετομάχος, Υφάντρα, Μουστακαλής, Σχοινοποταμίδα, Καλαμοποταμίδα, Τσιχλοποταμίδα, Καλαμοτριλιστής, σταβλοχελίδονο, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Ψαρόνι, (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο, also see the birdlist below.
