Description
Trettøya is a wet forest area along the river Orkla with a small seasonal lagoon. It is a breeding area for many passerines. Some waders also, like (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος, Ακτίτης, Πρασινοσκέλης and Κοκκινοσκέλης. Also a chance on feeding (Ευρωπαϊκός) Γερανός. Ποταμοσφυριχτής breed in the area. Other birds you can encounter are Κηποτσιροβάκος, Σχοινοποταμίδα, Κιτρινοστριτσίδα, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, Καπακλής, (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα and (Ευρωπαϊκό) Κιρκίρι.

Access
There is a rough gravel road crossing a metalled bridge from the County road. Several parking possibilities. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point. Observe salmon fishing in the river from June 1st to August 31st. Can cause some traffic and disturbances. No public transport, so bicycle from nearby communities or by car is mandatory. Occasionally and partly flooded.
