The botanical garden in Oslo features a wide variety of plants and trees, and attracts birds all year round. More than 100 bird species have been seen here.
The Oslo Botanical Garden (Botanisk hage) is a collection of more than 5500 plants and trees from all over the world. It is part of the Natural History Museum. The wide variety of plants and trees attracts birds all year round. There are a couple of feeding stations in the park which are active throughout the winter, and it's a sure spot to find wintering species that would otherwise migrate. Nice birds that are seen here are (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βομβυκίλα, Καρυοθραύστης, Διπλοσάϊνο and (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κοκκοθραύστης.
The Botanical Garden is within walking distance of the Oslo central station. You can also take the subway to Tøyen T, or go by tram or bus. Parking in the area can be tricky at times.
