The Yperenplas (also called Wilpse Plas) is an easy accessible birding place near the city of Deventer. It offers a wide view on the typical IJssel valley, with a good chance of special species on the lake and in the surroundings. Among the birds you can see here are Σταχτόχηνα, Ψαραετός, Σταχτοπετρόκλης, Θυελλόγλαρος, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, Καπακλής, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρομύτα, Καστανοκέφαλος Γλάρος, Barnacle Goose and Βραχοκιρκίνεζο. Rarities that have been seen here are (Ευρωπαϊκη) Βαλτόπαπια, Κηλιδοβούτι and Καλαμοκανάς.
