Description
The Heempark is more than a collection of firewood and weeds that some see in it. More than just a bit outside that, located on the outskirts of the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, is withdrawn from the city. The word 'heem' in Heempark stands for indigenous. Heempark 's-Hertogenbosch Zuid provides an overview of some plant species and plant communities that are characteristic of the province of North Brabant, whereby both community and species are placed in the most natural environment possible. This means that at a given moment a kind of natural balance arises, in which plants and animals live together in a certain natural harmony. They just feel at home there.
In addition to insects, mammals, amphibians, mosses, mushrooms, trees, shrubs and herbs, there are of course also the necessary birds to see, such as: Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης, Χουχουριστής, Καμποδεντροβάτης, Καλόγερος and as passers-by the (Κοινό) Ξεφτέρι and (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αλκυόνη.
