An oasis of calm in the heart of the city of The Hague. The park consists of a strech of dunes, planted with pines and oaks.
The Bosjes van Poot is part of the "Natuurmonument Westduinpark" and is a great place for casual birding, and that without having to lace up your hiking boots! Many common bird species can be observed all year long and it is a nice spot for city dwellers to welcome (back) migrating passerines.
Here are some of the bird species that can be observed: Πράσινος Παπαγάλος, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Κίσσα, (Κοινή) Τσίχλα, Κοκκινότσιχλα, Αιγίθαλος, Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης and (Κοινή) Γερακίνα.
