Description

Walking down the road towards the ruins of Grosnez Castle, you will pass heathland dominated by gorse, bracken and heather, home to birds such as the Λιβαδοκελάδα, Μαυρολαίμης, Δεντροφυλλοσκόπος and (Κοινό) Φανέτο, whilst overhead, looking for small mammals are Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, (Κοινή) Γερακίνα and Καλαμόκιρκος. In spring 2025 there were at least 3 pairs of Καλαμόκιρκος resident

Upon reaching the castle, it is possible to follow paths in either direction along the cliff top. Heading south you can walk to the WWII German observation post and even to the Batterie Molkte gun emplacements, whilst heading north the route takes you to Plemont. The cliffs are home to a variety of seabirds such as Γιγαντόγλαρος, Μελανόγλαρος, Ασημόγλαρος του Βορά, Θυελλόγλαρος, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Στρειδοφάγος and (Κοινός) Κόρακας whilst out to see Common Guillemot and Μύχος can often be seen.
