Description

Oasi San Daniele is a wintering site for a colony of (Μεγάλο) Καλαμοτσίχλονο and dormitory for (Κοινή) Τσίχλα , Κοκκινότσιχλα and Κεδρότσιχλα. You can see a large number of bird species, including Πευκοδρυοκολάπτης , Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης , Στραβολαίμης , Μαυρολαίμης , Χειμωνόσπινος , Δεντροτσοπανάκος , (Ευρωπαϊκός) Κοκκοθραύστης , (Κοινό) Λούγαρο , (Κοινός) Κόρακας , Mandarin Duck , (Ευρωπαϊκό) Τρυγόνι , Δεντροσπουργίτης , Βουνοδεντροβάτης, as well as amphibians and mammals such as the Lataste frogs, the green frogs, roe deers, hedgehogs.

Access

There is a parking area outside the oasis for cars and one for bicycles, access is allowed on foot (even for the disabled). During winter it is possible to book two photographic hides.
