Description
During autumn migration this area at the foot of Mount Bulgheria is a particularly interesting area for birds of prey. All year round you can find (Κοινή) Γερακίνα, Βραχοκιρκίνεζο, Πετρίτης, (Κοινό) Ξεφτέρι, Διπλοσάϊνο, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Κουκουβάγια and Χουχουριστής. During the migration the situation becomes more interesting with Στεπόκιρκος, Λιβαδόκιρκος, Καλαμόκιρκος in spring and late summer with hundreds of Τσίφτης, (Ευρωπαϊκός) Σφηκιάρης, Καλαμόκιρκος and, if you are lucky, Ασπροπάρης, Γερακαετός, Κραυγαετός, Ψαραετός and Όρνιο.
