Description
The best time for birdwatching on lago della Burida is during bird migration, especially the autumn migration. The lake attracts water birds like ducks, rails and and grebes. Always present species are Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι, Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια, (Βουβός) Κύκνος, (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα and (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι. Except for the Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια, the others are nesting. During migratory periods, even rarer species for the province appear, such as (Ευρωπαϊκη) Βαλτόπαπια, Λαμπροβούτι, Κοκκινοβουτηχτάρι, Μαυροβουτηχτάρι, Βελουδόπαπια, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα and Νανοπρίστης.

Italiano: Il lago della Burida è posto in un ambiente urbano, ma circondato da vegetazione ripariale, canneto e alberi; è stato realizzato nell'1894 per produrre energia. Il periodo migliore per fare birdwatching in questo sito è durante la migrazione, sopratutto quella autunnale; le specie più rappresente sono quelle acquatiche, cioè anatidi, rallidi e svassi. Specie sempre presenti sono la Μαυροκέφαλη Πάπια , lo Σκουφοβουτηχτάρι, il Πρασινοκέφαλη Πάπια , il (Βουβός) Κύκνος, la (Κοινή) Φαλαρίδα e il (Κοκκινόλαιμο) Νανοβουτηχτάρι; tranne la moretta, gli altri sono nidificanti. Nei periodi migratori fanno la loro comparsa anche specie più rare per la provincia, come la (Ευρωπαϊκη) Βαλτόπαπια, la Λαμπροβούτι, lo Κοκκινοβουτηχτάρι, lo Μαυροβουτηχτάρι, l' Βελουδόπαπια, il (Ευρωπαϊκή) Βουκεφάλα e la Νανοπρίστης.
