Salt ponds 20 km north of Eilat that are rich in birds. (Ευρωπαϊκό) Φοινικόπτερο, waders, shore birds almost all year round. Late spring is good for raptors coming to drink, like (Ευρωπαϊκός) Σφηκιάρης. Birds that are often seen are Νανομελισσοφάγος, Lichtenstein's Sandgrouse, Αργυρογλάρονο, Καρατζάς, (Ευρασιατική) Χουλιαρόπαπια, Ψαλίδα (του Βορά), Καλαμοκανάς, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Αβοκέτα, Αργυροπούλι, (Μεγάλος) Ερημοσφυριχτής, Θαλασσοσφυριχτής, Αμμοσφυριχτής, Αγκαθοκαλημάνα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Μαυρότρυγγας, Λασποσκαλίδρα, (Κοινή) Νανοσκαλίδρα, Βαλτότρυγγας and Μαχητής. Come off Route 90 from the south, turn near km 20 marking, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
